a couple of easy ones

You know, I shouldn't sit down to write journaling, because this looked relatively straight when I did it :) Echo Park Times and Seasons paper with an old MM journal block and a small strip of Bella Blvd. paper down on the right side.

One of the things I don't like about scrapping 8.5x11 is that I have to cut down a lot of paper that would be really cute backgrounds, like this WRMK Santa's List paper. It worked out, though. Since I had three full size pics, I only had to piece it together one direction to make it work. Martha Stewart snowflake paper, ribbon from Michaels, old MM letter stickers, Doodlebug twine, Karen Foster brads and I had the boys write their own names.

365 Layouts total: 95 layouts and 3 mini albums. I'm a little behind (I should be at 98. I have a couple planned out and 2 mini albums that I worked on last week that just need a few last things. Hopefully I'll finish them and a few layouts this week.)

project life, week 5

The full spread:
The left side:

The title block is the backside of last weeks title block with a file folder label with the dates, BG letter stickers, and a strip of Smash Book washi tape. I have a strip of Pocketbooth photos of the boys I may add, but haven't decided yet. A boring photo of my crockpot (I challenged myself to try a new crockpot recipe every day this week); BH grid journaling block with an AE stamp at the bottom; white cardstock with some new Martha Stewart labels on them; a free journaling block (on my pinterest board) listing the crockpot meals we tried this week; a BH journaling block with the buisness card of where Brandon had his pre-braces x-rays this week; photos of Jacob taken on my phone with the free roidizer app (I have a droid), printed in Photosheet and stamped with the Smash Book stamp and mounted on Jillibean Soup paper; BH title card and October Afternoon label sticker on B and my's Payday game pic taken with my phone.

Right side: pic of Brandon's Anne Frank diorama mounted on a scrap of PC paper with an Avery label; pic of the rose cupcakes I made this week for the boys on MME paper with a Martha Stewart label; 2 of the free journaling cards on my Pinterest board--first one has a small pic of The Help, which the 3 of us watched this week and the other talks about where Jacob is on the Texana list for services; K&Co mat stack card cut down with October Afternoon letter stickers and a small pic of Rick and me and a business card from where we got our take-out (I don't cook for the SuperBowl. At all.) I want to put a football sticker or something in between the words but oddly enough I don't have a single football sticker or even any paper to cut one from; pic of Rick and the boys after the rainstorm on Saturday with a smaller pic of Rick during the rain in the corner; collage of Google SuperBowl images printed as a collage in Photosheet.

Someone asked how I print out the film strip photos from my iPad (the app I use is Pocketbooth). I sync the iPad to my computer and transfer the photos when prompted. Then I just open Microsoft Word and do insert-->photo-->from file. The first image above is how it drops it in with no editing from me. The second set is simply made smaller using the corner dragging tools. That's it, easy peasy.

3rd Annual Ditch the Kids Crop

Echo Park Splash paper set
More EP Spash. It's really one pieceof paper pieced together to make it look like I used two pieces. MM ribbon.
More EP Splash. The pennant at the top is part of a border strip. I trimmed around the pennants and since I didn't quite have enough, I also trimmed a pennant piece from a journaling card.
Not sure who the paper is by, but Deja Views die cuts, Heidi Swapp clear snowflakes, the white snowflake is a Jesse James button with the shank cut off, and MM ribbon.
MME paper and chipboard letters from the .99 section at Target.
New Echo Park winter paper kit and some old brown gingham ribbon.
More Echo Park winter paper and border sticker, and a glitter word sticker from Hobby Lobby.
Bella Blvd. paper, Deja Views word stickers and red gingham ribbon from Michaels. Considered using black and white photos for these to make it easier to find paper to match, but liked the color photos.
Basic Grey paper cut down and inked, and MM glitter swirls. Tim Holz giant tags (thanks Connie and Carolyn!)
More Echo Park winter paper kit. I like that they use the same color pallet for their holiday collections so papers can be matched up from year to year.
Echo Park paper, MM glitter swirls, TH tags.
Strips of Echo Park paper cut with a Martha Stewart border punch.
Recollections paper pad from Michaels.
More Recollections paper and stickers from Michaels, and word sticker from Hobby Lobby.

There are 4 more layouts that are mostly "done", just need either a title or some computer journaling.

365 Layouts total: 89 layouts and 3 mini albums.

Orlando vacation album, part 5

Older PC paper.
Feel like this layout is a little blah. Don't know what else to add, maybe some patterned paper under the main photo.
Brandon really likes the gator specialty paper, so it was good to finally get to use it...once I stole it back from him.
I like how this one turned out. Colorbok and MM paper, AC thickers stickers. Golden ginko leaves from Michaels.
No journaling, since the pics are pretty self-explanatory.
Ignore the use of the wrong stamp for the exclamation point. Should know better than to stamp while on the phone.

There are still Harry Potter layouts left to do for this vacation album, but I'm really tired of working on it, so I'm going to set them aside for now.

365 total: 75 layouts and 3 minibooks.
