playing with pretty paper, part 5

This DCWV stack was also somewhat of an impulse buy, but I loved several of the patterns. The downside was that I knew going in that I was going to automatically put about half the pad in the giveaway pile.
What I ended up with I am pretty happy with.

 My favorite :)
And the cards:

Not sure what sentiments I want to stamp on here, so blank for now.

Total:
11 double 8.5x11 layouts
1 single 8.5x11 layout
7 cards

Even with letting half the pad go right away, I still think it was worth the $12.99.

Oh, the DCWV Carnival Stack by Deena Rutter. Total impulse purchase because it was so cute. Really? How likely would I have been to use this.

This one can maybe used for pics of my pink roses.
And I have some older blue snowcone face pics of the boys that I'll use this one for.

2 of these for Terri.
And one lonely card before I conceded that I was tired of playing with it.

Total:

4 double 8.5x11 layouts
1 single 8.5x11 layout
2 double 12x12 layouts
1 card

Definitely not worth the $12.99

playing with pretty paper, part 3

Joanns has been getting some "exclusive" Basic Grey lines in for awhile (they also can be bought on the website and sometimes show up in kit club kits), and this was the 3rd set (there are usually 2 paper lines, one more feminine and one more masculine and a bunch of embellies that coordinate with both). Hey Girl was definitely a splurge/impulse buy. I really liked a couple papers, and a lot of them not so much.
What I came up with:

I'm thinking that this one might work for our most recent pumpkin patch photos.
And this one I purposely put the adhesive at the bottom of the strips, thinking I would make it a journaling heavy layout by tucking tags into the tops of the strips (treating them like giant pockets).

I liked this simple one enough that I also made 4 copies of it for Terri.
 And the cards:

The total:
4 double 8.5x11 layouts
2 single 8.5x11 layouts
4 single 12x12 layouts
9 cards

Not bad for a $12.99 pad.
