Terri #11

I like the black frames of the photos set off from the bright background papers :)  Allison Davis sketch.  There were 4 total copies of this layouts, so

365 layouts total: 224 layouts and 5 mini albums

I have a limited amount of pink cardstock now, so 2 layouts with lighter pink, 2 with a bolder pink. I think I like the bolder ones better.  Allison Davis sketch, AE stamp title, and the Cricut Sweet Treats cartridge.

I thought I had some dimensional candy stickers, but I must have put them in the pile for the crop, so no candies.  :(  There were 2 copies of this layout, so

365 layouts total: 216 layouts and 5 mini albums

I liked the Pink Paislee pp, and decided to use some blue washii tape to tone down the yellow a little. I decided against an obvious "cousins" title and just let the "capture the moment" title on the stamp stand on it's own. There were 4 copies of the layout, so

365 layouts total: 214 layouts and 5 mini albums

Allison Davis sketch. I left the middle sections open so Terri could decide if she wanted to journal directly on the page or add white square of cardstock.  There were 4 copies of this layouts, so

For some reason, the blog hates iphone pictures taken on the horizontal, because it won't flip it no matter what I do.

I had a little fun with this one :)  I created a template out of plain paper and used my circle and rectangle coluzzle cutting things then laid it over my background and spritzed it with a combination of pink and yellow misters. I also misted the punched water borders to help them stand out. For the title, I used the H20 cricut cartridge. The layout is based on an Allison Davis/Sketch Support sketch. There were 4 copies of the layout, so

365 layouts total: 205 layouts and 5 mini albums

Project Life, week 19

Last week (as in the previous few) I used paper all from one line; this week is a definite mishmash :) The title card is from the new Simple Stories Summer Fresh line (which I think has overtaken SS 100 Days of Summer as my favorite), the orange chevron is the back side of the MME paper from last week, the blue quiltish (behind Brandon's karate pics) is from Authentique, yellow gingham is Lily Bee, orange wood grain is MME (leftover from last week), and the green wavy is from Lily Bee. I just liked the way they all played together and the title card kind of united them. Something like this is my preferred color scheme, so this layout feels more like "me" than some of the others.
All the pics on this page except the karate pics were taken with my regular camera and then I used Photosheet to print them at home. The karate pics were taken with Rick's iPhone, emailed to me, and then I downloaded them onto my ipod, put them in a Diptic collage, then I emailed that to myself and then printed through Photosheet on my printer at home.
On this page, the weather screenshot was taken with my ipod and then mailed to myself. The roses pic was taken with my phone, then ran through Instagram, then mailed to myself, put into the square Photosheet template and printed at home. It sounds like a lot of extra steps, but it's not, and it's the only way to get a square photo to print on my photo printer. The rest were taken with my camera and then printed at home using Photosheet templates.

One of the things I didn't like about Project 365 was only having one pic from any given day; I much prefer giving myself the permission to do collages or throw in quotes, memorabillia, or even filler cards with little tidbits of the week (like what tv season finales we watched. I vaguely remember what tv shows I watched as a kid, but honestly I would love to actually have a list to look back on, soo....)

365 Layouts total: 202 layouts and 5 mini albums

Project Life, week 18

This week I used MME On the Bright Side and some miscellaneous die cuts and stickers.
I used just a plain black ink pad from Hobby Lobby to stamp directly on the photos, that seemed to work better than using the Stazon, which is surprising. The little photo of Rick and me was taken with the ipod. I printed that photo, the two flower photos, and the 3 photos of Jacob (below) together on one Photosheet collage template and then cut them apart. The rest of the photos were taken with one of my cameras.
The Avengers poster was a download from the internet, the crop photo was taken with my phone (Instagram) and the rest were with a camera.

Layouts for Terri, #5

Out of all the colors of papers I tried, blue seemed to balance all the colors in the photo the best. I love these Colorbok paper pads at Joanns right now. Pastel, but not blah, floral but not stifling, artsy but no overly so. There were 4 copies of this photo, but only 2 of each paper in the pad, so 2 different backgrounds.
The heart made from tags is an idea I saw in Creating Keepsakes several years ago and really liked. The "family" part of the title is from the cricut Sophisticated cartridges. Four total copies of the layout, so

365 layouts total: 200 layouts and 5 mini albums.

Layouts for Terri, #4

I had set this photo down on different papers, and liked this one the best. I never add much extra detail to the MME glitter papers, because there is already so much going on. I stamped a circle and the word "family" onto white cardstock, cut it out with a Nestabillities scallop circle die, then pounced over it with a walnut stain ink pad to tone it down some. There were 4 copies of this layout, so

365 Layouts total: 196 layouts and 5 mini albums

Layouts for Terri, #3

This set of photos was fun to work with, and something new, since I don't have very many (almost no) sports photos to work with. I'm really liking pennants and banners right now, so it didn't hurt my feelings that this Allison Davis sketch fit the photos the best. There were 3 copies of this layout, so

365 layouts total: 192 layouts and 5 mini albums

Layouts for Terri, #2

This layout was a bit of a challenge, since there were very distinct, and not exactly matching, colors to work with. I think the multi colored stripe paper works pretty well with them. Terri is doing her own journaling, hence the wide open space :)  I was able to use one of my favorite cricut cartridges, Graphically Speaking. There were 4 copies of this layout, so

365 Layouts total: 189 layouts and 5 mini albums

Layouts for Terri, #1

For her birthday, I gave Terri a certificate to scrapbook 25 sets of photos (and their associate copies, since she makes multiple layouts for different albums). First up, Joe's Drive In. I used an Allison Davis sketch and the Nifty Fifties cricut cart for the title. There were two copies of this layout, so

365 Layouts total: 185 layouts and 5 mini albums

Project Life, week 17

Boy, is it bad lighting over here!
Even though it's very color coordinated, I really like how it turned out.
I originally used StazOn ink to stamp on the photo, but apparently it doesn't play well with the Ali Edwards stamps and I had to go over it with a marker. The stamps worked fine on another photo with regular ink, though, which is weird.

I included the invitation to the party Brandon went to, in case he wants to see it later.

Project Life, week 15

This week the color scheme is much more me :)
All the journaling cards were made a few weeks ago with the leftovers of one of my counterfeit kits

365 Layouts total: 181 layouts and 5 mini books

Project Life, week 14

This week took a little longer than normal to finish; my first layout was very pastel-ly and floral...and so not me, so I took it apart and come up with this:

 The left side:

The right side:
