Weekend Crop layouts

I went to the crop with a bag of photos and a general idea of what paper I wanted to use. Over the course of 3 days, I got 14 layouts done. Not my normal pace, but it was kind of fun to wing it instead of doing all the preplanning that I usually do. First up: the photos from Oyster Creek Park (our "fall" pics that we finally got to take in December). I fell in love with the Simple Stories Harvest Lane line as soon as I saw the sneak peeks of it this summer.

I love subway art, so I gave it a little bit of a try with my title. I didn't take any letter stickers or Thickers (beyond what came in the kits I had); instead I took a few sets of stamps, some chipboard sets, and a drawer of older letters things that I can't make myself get rid of, but don't seem to use. I like how it looks and I'll probably try it again.
After that, it was the WRMK Down the Boardwalk kit from Hobby Lobby. When the paper first came out, I wasn't that impressed with it, and I don't really need all that much beach products. But as I saw more and more layouts with it, and looked at it each time I was at the store, it grew on me and I realized that only a few of the sheets were "beach" and the rest were just nice distressed mid range colors that could be used for spring, summer and more. So, for $11.99. I got 44 sheets of paper, 6 sheets of cardstock, die cuts and a sheet of stickers. Good deal.

Still trying to decide if I want a title on the right hand side, or just a little stamped subtitle and some journaling.
I really love these wood letters from Pink Paislee. Must play with them some more.

Citrus Twist October kit

Last month I decided to sign up for the Citrus Twist monthly scrapbooking kit. I had been looking at joining a kit club for awhile, but was torn between a few, and finally made the decision. I loved their previous kits so I signed up for a six month block.  I tried to post a pic of the October Kit, but it's just not working, so it can be seen at www.citrustwistkits.com under past kits--October Blue Skies.

I took a bag of photos, this kit, and a few others, and that was my entire plan for the crop I just went to. Very different than what I usually do. This is what I came up with:

The chipboard letters were not part of the kit, but I decided to try and use them up, since I've had them forever. I used the Prima inker from the kit to quickly "paint" the letters; it worked pretty well.
The manilla tags were also an addition to the kit.

Thoughts on this kit: The color palette isn't really "me" so it made so sense to me why I loved it so much, but I did enjoy playing with it. I still have a ton of stuff left, but I'm simply tired of playing with it, LOL. The rest will probably end up being used for PL cards or cards.

Weekend Crop

This weekend I got to go have some fun and go to a weekend crop with some friends. I played Friday from about noon to about 10pm, Saturday from 8:30 to 4:30 (then left to run the ColorFunFest 5K with Terri), and Sunday from 8:30 to 4. Because Gracie and Vivian are awesome, there were themes, goodies and make and takes each day. Friday was a Thanksgiving theme:
The make and takes were the feather headdress and the 3-d tree. Saturday was Princess/diva theme:
The makes and takes were the crown and the post it note holder (on the far right). Sunday's theme was Christmas/winter:
The make and takes were the crown an the ornament. We left for part of the day on Saturday to go to the craft fair at Terri's church, and while we were there Vivian saw some ornaments that she liked and so we make those on Sunday:
Gracie and Vivian are masters at turning little bits and bobbles into gorgeous decorations. A few of Vivian's:

There is an opening at the back of the house that houses a large handmade photo album.

And it even lights up :)  Unfortunately, I forgot to take a pic of Gracie's Hannukah house, which was adorable.

Project Life, week 40

This week's paper pad: BG Picadilly. I was really hoping to go to the Farmer's Market this week, but alas we did not make it.

BH Clementine, Amber and plain grid cards, an Echo Park journal card, an AE journal card, and a BH Clementine filler card.

Project Life, week 39

This week's paper pad: BG PB&J.

A mix of BH Turquoise, Amber and Ali  Edwards journaling cards and a SS filler card.

365 Layouts total

Between Nov. 1, 2011 and Oct. 31, 2012 I completed:

390 Layouts
2 cards
8 mini album bases
nearly 50 extra bases

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with my results.

Terri's DD

I originally bought the Teresa Collins December kit, but in the end only used a couple inserts for my album. The album itself and the rest of the inserts were used for Terri's album. I had this sheet of MME Lost and Found Christmas, and I loved it, but the color scheme is just really not me. It makes a cute cover, though.
Terri liked the SS Handmade Holiday line the best this year, so I used some of that, some of last year's SS, and some coordinating papers I found in my stash.

365 Layouts total: 390 layouts, 2 cards, 8 mini albums.

December Daily 2012

This year I decided to start with an Avery Dennison binder from Office Max. I really loved last years OA Holiday Style line (even though it's a bit winterish) and decided to use it, with a little bit of extras mixed in.

365 Layouts total: 390 layouts, 2 cards, and 7 mini albums
